Tonight: The Black Stallion Screens At Buttercup Cinema

A wonderful season of movies concludes tonight at Buttercup Park with The Black Stallion, starring Mickey Rooney. This 1979 classic is described as "the story of Alec Ramsey, who is shipwrecked on a deserted island with a wild Arabian stallion whom he befriends. After being rescued, they are set on entering a race challenging two champion horses."

The movie will start around 8pm. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and food and drinks. The movie is free, and there are no overpriced concessions! Buttercup Park is located at Ainslie and Sheridan.

Many thanks to the people who stepped up to make this happen for the community, all summer long!

The series is curated by Victor Herrera, and is made financially possible with the support of Big Chicks/Tweet, Green Team Properties, Somerset Place Apartments, Karen Ayers of State Farm Insurance, Foremost Liquors on Argyle, and Cedar St/Flats. It's all put together by the volunteers at Buttercup Park Advisory Council.
