Uptown Underground Presents Ghosts of Halloween Past On October 31st

Halloween is the perfect occasion to go Underground, as the Uptown Underground presents Ghosts of Halloween Past, three spooktacular performances on October 31st for one cover price of $25.

The venue is decorated with spooky decor, including a coffin, and there will be drink specials. Costumes, especially vintage jazz-age costumes are encouraged.

Entertainment for the evening includes:
  • Chicago Cabaret Project present their musical cabaret and burlesque version of Rocky Horror Picture Show in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the cult classic.
  • The Kiss Kiss Cabaret presents Peek-A-Boo, a rollicking burlesque show featuring group numbers as well as solo acts by top dancers and variety performers from around the world. Peek-A-Boo features "That Juggling Guy" Brad French bringing back the Ghost of Disco and a zombie take on Dirty Dancing. The evening concludes with an eye-popping, glow-in-the-dark finale inspired by the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds song Red Right Hand.
  • Pervesk Burlesque closes Halloween with offbeat Burlesk', performance art and variety showcase honoring the bizarre and saluting the strange, including "The Queen of Halloween," Red Rum. For Halloween night, Pervesk Burlesque pays tributes to The Birds, Silent Hill, American Horror Story, Freddy Krueger and so much more. This is a wonderful opportunity to see Red Rum in her home venue this month.
And all for 25 bucks!  Uptown Underground is located at 4713 North Broadway.  You can purchase tickets in advance at its website.
