Up On The Roof

A reader sent in these photos and says,
"I don't know if this interests you or your readers, but for years there has been standing water up atop the old Maryville/Cuneo building.  With the threat of West Nile being very real, something should be done to eliminate all that water.

Also, you can see in one picture how bad the roof is crumbling (that is over a sidewalk on Montrose).

It's bad enough this prime real estate pays no taxes to the city, the nuns [The Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the owners of the property] should be maintaining it better."
It sure does look bad, but a building inspection will tell if the conditions are dangerous.  The photos and message have been forwarded to Ald. Cappleman's office.
