Friday City Trash Pick-Up Is On Thursday This Week

"Due to the 4th of July holiday, there will be no city-provided refuse collection on Friday, July 3.

As garbage pick up is on Friday, Streets and Sanitation has announced that garbage in the 46th ward will be picked up on Thursday.  Residents that have regular scheduled Friday pickups should be sure to bring out their trash cans on Wednesday night.

Additionally, residents should be advised of potential changes to Blue Cart Recycling collection based on their service provider. Residents with private service should continue to put out Blue Recycling Carts throughout the week, according to their typical schedule. Blue carts will be picked up Monday through Thursday (no pickup on Friday).

In honor of Independence Day, the 46th Ward Office will be closed this Friday, July 3. The office will be open the following Monday, July 6."
