Meet The 20th District Police Commander

Another chance to meet your police commander, this time for residents of the 20th District (north of Lawrence).  From Ald. Osterman's latest newsletter:

"Commanders Meeting.  At 7 pm on Tuesday, June 2, at the Broadway Armory, I will be hosting a Public Safety meeting with both Commander Roberto Nieves, from the 24th District, and Commander Cornelia Lott, from the 20th District. This annual meeting allows residents to get to know the commanders and to discuss public safety initiatives and issues. If you have any questions about this meeting, please contact Marko Zaric in my office at 773-784-5277 or Marko@48thward.org."

And a joint meeting between the aldermen, mayor and police to talk about the recent violence in our community:

"This shooting [5900 block of Kenmore, in Edgewater] is another example of violence that spreads between Uptown, Edgewater and Rogers Park. Alderman Cappleman and Alderman Moore will be joining me in meeting with the Mayor and the Superintendent of Police to find ways to address the violence in our neighborhoods."
