Lunar New Year Parade on Saturday, February 21st

2015 is the beginning of the Year of the Goat, and also of the Green Wooden Sheep, on the lunar calendar.  One of the highlights of living in Uptown is the Argyle business community's parade celebrating the Lunar New Year.  This year it will take place on Saturday, February 21st.

No details are available about the route yet, but in past years it's kicked off from the Hip Sing Association's location at 1121 West Argyle.  There are dancing dragons, a couple floats, strings of firecrackers, and usually some neighborhood festivities scheduled around the parade as well.
