They will resign their positions as co-general managers at Crew as soon as the transition of responsibilities to new GM Ryan Furr, of Washington DC, is complete. They are no longer part of SoFo Tap, where Graeme Schellenberger was promoted to the position of GM last October.
Mark Robertson and Mike Sullivan, who joined Steven and Brian as co-owners of Crew in 2010, now own more than 95% of Crew and 100% of SoFo Tap. The foursome acquired SoFo Tap together in the summer of 2011.
In a statement released today, Steven said, "We've made great memories here [at Crew] – from the White Sox World Series, to two Blackhawks Stanley Cups, to my personal favorite, Ohio State winning the National Championship earlier this month. Not to mention all the terrific customers and staff we've been able to spend our days and nights with."
We salute Brian and Steve for having the initiative and desire to open what is now one of Uptown's signature businesses, back in 2004 when there was a very different atmosphere at Broadway and Lawrence. We've enjoyed a lot of friendly service, Sister Mary trivia nights, half-price appetizers, dirty martinis, and Doggy Days at their establishments. We look forward to seeing what the future brings to both bars, and of course to Steven and Brian.
Many thanks to those guys for creating and sustaining their restaurants!

Three Cheers to Brian and Steve for conceptualizing and bringing CREW to Chicago, one of my favorite places.
