"The Wilson-Malden" Building Debuts New Awnings, Improved Curb Appeal

Becovic Management has been putting a lot of money into their building at 4555 N. Malden which was recently rebranded "The Wilson-Malden." We are told that the units were gutted and updated. The exterior was tuckpointed and freshened up. All storefronts received new windows and doors.
New awnings were recently installed and we noticed that Sheridan Park Food & Liquors has now been rebranded "Sheridan Park Wine & Spirits" which we think has a nice ring to it. Might be one of the signs of the apocalypse to a few folks in the neighborhood though.

Kudos to Becovic for investing their time and money in Sheridan Park!

  1. If that's a sign of the apocalypse, then I'll have the four horsemen over for wine and spirits to celebrate. :)

  2. Uh-oh... Changing a name from a "liquor store" to a "wine and spirits" store is one of the 11 signs of gentrification. http://www.theroot.com/articles/culture/2014/12/_11_signs_your_hood_is_being_gentrified.html

  3. You do know the root is a black website and why do white people love gentrification

  4. I had no idea that websites could be black. The reason people has drastically different views of gentrification are because most of those people have radically different definitions of gentrification.

  5. I have an idea that someone was attempting to race-bait and class-bait, Koocachoo. The people who got a lot from Helen Shiller's term in office are like spoiled children who get the latest toys, then they feel entitled to only the best toys even when their parents have to tighten their belts and throw tantrums when they don't get what they want--even if their honest parents can't afford it any longer. We'll never hear the end of "gentrification" until they find another neighborhood they think they can lord over.
