42 grams Receives Two Michelin Stars

From the Tribune's story on the Michelin Guide's release rating Chicago restaurants:
"42 grams, the 10-month-old Uptown restaurant run by chef Jake Bickelhaupt, received two stars in its first year of consideration.

'That doesn't happen frequently in the world of Michelin,' Ellis said. 'But it's a testimony to how exciting and dynamic Chicago's restaurant scene is.'

'I was overwhelmed with emotion,' Bickelhaupt said. 'I didn't know how I was going to take it, and I won’t lie — I cried with excitement and joy. I just feel validated in what Alexa (his wife) and I are doing; I’m very happy my wife and I are being recognized for our hard work and effort.'”
42 grams is located at 4662 North Broadway, and booking is by prepaid reservation only. Only 23 other restaurants in Chicago received one or more Michelin star.
