Vintage Garage Salutes Vinyl This Sunday

Vintage Garage Chicago and the Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP) have teamed up to bring a special section to the market June 15, the Record Ramp.

Vendors will bring vintage vinyl, CDs, 8-tracks, tapes, electronics, memorabilia and more to sell on the ramp. In addition, CHIRP DJs will be on-site spinning vintage vinyl records from 11am until 4pm. The show is open from 10am until 5pm.

“It will be a great way to introduce younger generations to the wonders of record collecting,” says Melissa Sands of Vintage Promotions, LLC, producer of the show. “From big covers and printed lyrics to the warm sound -- you just don’t get the whole package without a recording on vinyl.”

As always, Chicago’s only monthly all-vintage market will feature lots of vintage home furnishings, clothing, jewelry, household items, electronics and more.

Vintage Garage Chicago will be held June 15, and the third Sunday of each month through October. The address is 5051 N Broadway, at the Argyle stop on the Red Line.
