Survey Says! Last Day To Opine About Reuse Of Stewart School & Wilson El Vacant Land

If you missed any of the Metropolitan Planning Council meetings regarding the reuse of Stewart School and the soon-to-be-empty space next to the Wilson el station, you can review the various proposals online at Curbed Chicago.

There are diagrams of potential uses for the spaces that came out of the workshops, as well as the projected costs and the financial viability of each, which makes for some interesting reading. Only one project is completely financially self-sustaining; the rest have funding gaps between $1.15million and $12.3million.  The diagrams include developer comments and suggested ways to make each project more financially realistic.

Remember that CPS is required by law to accept the highest reasonable price offered for each of its properties.

Today is the last day to participate in a short online survey about a few of the proposed uses. We encourage everyone who has an interest in what happens at those locations to participate.  It takes less than five minutes to complete the survey.
