Uptown's prices are right in line with the Gold Coast, Lakeview, Kenwood and Montclare. Uptown pizza is cheaper than Portage Park and Wicker Park. More expensive than North Center, Edgewater and Lincoln Square.
And River North has the most pizza joints in the city.
(Of course, we suggest you buy here anyway and support your local merchants.)
NPR, what would we do without you.
I think the size of the bubble represents the number of pizza places in the neighborhood, not the size of the pizza. i.e., there are very few pizza places in Englewood - maybe just one - and it may or may not sell tiny pizzas (probably not).
ReplyDeleteYou're right. "Places" and "slices" are different words. Editing! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSo what's everyone's favorite Uptown pizza place? I live close to Michael's on Broadway, so that's my go to, but where does everyone else go?
ReplyDeletePapa Ray's for us. Open late. Free delivery if you order online. Awesome coupons with just about everything. They came out and delivered during the blizzard in '11 and earned our eternal gratitude.
DeleteI echo Papa Ray's, but for hand-tossed. If I want deep dish I'll go to Godfather's. And if I want to venture out, be a fatty and get all the pizza I can eat, I go to Piehole's all you can eat pizza day.
DeleteOur go-to is The Godfather's Pizza on Wilson. When we go to splurge, we step out to Spacca Napoli.
ReplyDeleteFor yours truly, Uptown Pizza on Wilson and Kenmore. Their slices get you right HERE (patting belly).
ReplyDeleteMichael's is my FAVORITE place! Their pizza (& everything else I've ever had there) is DELICIOUS. They have great weekly values & they are so nice!!
ReplyDeleteA plethora of choices. Piehole's sounds tempting to try.
ReplyDeleteGigio's!
