On Saturday, August 3rd, beginning at 7:30pm, the Buddhist Temple of Chicago is having "Bon Odori," a festival of Japanese folk dances. Free and open to the public.
There is a practice session on Wednesday, July 31 at 7:30pm, but practiced or not, everyone is welcome to jump in and dance. Come in kimono or anything casual. Pictured: procession along Leland Avenue before last year's Bon Odori.
