Paper Machete, the live radio magazine and revue show that airs each week from the Green Mill (4804 N Broadway) has a special show this weekend and would love for Updaters to be in the audience:
"We're taping our first-ever hour-long special for WBEZ. (It's an all-American special set to air on 4th of July.) We have big primo talent involved. Country music legend Robbie Fulks is playing music; plus the famous Rolling Stone journalist Abe Peck; Katie Rich and Steve Waltien from the Second City main stage; the Huffington Post's Kim Bellware; and the popular stand-up Adam Burke.
It should be a dynamite show, brimming with Chicago's best comic and literary talent. We'd love to get the word out, as we're hoping to pack the house since we're recording it for our public-radio debut."
It all happens at 3pm this Saturday -- and every Saturday -- at the Green Mill, and it's always free.
