Kids & Kites In The Park

Well, the weather forecast isn't as encouraging as it might be, but tomorrow is one of our favorite days:  Kids & Kites.  It takes place between 10am and 4pm at Cricket Hill (just inside the park at Montrose).  According to the city website:
From running around outdoors, flying FREE paper kites and enjoying family-focused programming including face painting, balloon artists and crafts. All crafts activities are while supplies last.

Families will be able to purchase kites onsite at the Kite Harbor booth and enjoy professional kite flying demonstrations and learn tips on how to fly a kite.  Weather permitting, the festival will also include the Big Kite Candy Drop, a piñata-like kite filled with candies that drop from the sky.

Brookfield Zoo will be on site giving away prizes and offering kids the chance to make their own Dinosaur feet.  Throughout the day, the festival will raffle off Brookfield Zoo Family Packs that include four general admission tickets, four Dinosaurs Alive tickets and one free parking pass. Other raffle items include Boeing kites and hats.
