Vintage Garage Season Opener AND Chicago Style Ride

For those who have been needing a vintage shopping fix since last fall, the wait is over. Vintage Garage returns to 5051 N Broadway tomorrow. To kick things off, there will be a vintage bike ride around Uptown and Edgewater in the morning. Ald. Osterman explains in his weekly newsletter:

"Since its start one year ago, Vintage Garage Chicago has been an exciting addition to the Argyle Street area. This Sunday, April 21 join me at the Vintage Garage Chicago Style Ride.

The ride kicks off Vintage Garage Chicago's 2013 season and will begin at 11am at Vintage Garage Chicago, 5051 N. Broadway, just north of Argyle. We’ll make a few stops along the way to discuss exciting biking initiatives and infrastructure coming to our community.

The ride will start from Vintage Garage Chicago, head east on Argyle street, turn right and head south on Sheridan Road, enter Buttercup Park, travel through the small park and head east on Margate Terrace, which will lead us to the lakefront trail. We’ll ride the lakefront trail from Margate north to Berwyn, exit and head west on Berwyn, turn left and head south on Winthrop back to Argyle Street and Vintage Garage Chicago.

Ample bike parking will be available and anyone dressed head-to-toe in vintage will receive free admission into the event.

Looking for a bike to ride? Heritage Bicycles offers rentals of their hand-crafted bikes made here in Chicago."
