Damaris Woodbury, a Bilingual (Spanish) Kindergarten teacher at Stockton School, will be hosting a weekly free play and informal chat in his classroom for parents of Kinder-age children (siblings can certainly tag along) starting this Wednesday, May 1st from 3pm-5pm and also on Wednesdays, May 15, 22, and 29. There will be no Tot Time on May 8th.
During this time, families can drop in to see a Kindergarten classroom, informally chat with a Kindergarten teacher, and meet other parents who are considering their neighborhood school options.
Kindergarten can be an anxiety-inducing year for parents and children. Regardless of any proposed school action, the building at 4420 N. Beacon will be welcoming new Kindergarten students. The goal of this program is to make that transition as smooth as possible for all families who consider their neighborhood school.
