The first community meetings regarding the closing of Stewart School and the absorption of Stockton School into Courtenay School were held on Monday evening at Amundsen High School. Jane Rickard from Welles Park Bulldog was there and took these two photos of the proceedings. Although eventually around 100 people showed up, the scene in the auditorium at 5:52 didn't exactly scream "space is limited."
The first community meeting regarding Trumbull School is tonight, and the second (and final) community meetings about Stewart and Stockton will be held on Thursday. The community meeting schedules are here, as well as the public hearings.
