Slip Slidin' Away

It's the first snow since March, and it's slick!  A reader sent in this photo and says:  "Merry Christmas, UU! Just a reminder to everyone to be safe on the road. This 151 spilled out on Sheridan and took the bus bench off its anchors."

Be careful out there and make it home safe, folks.

    How grateful I am that I'm not a CTA bus driver in this weather. I'm really glad I'm not THAT driver- s/he is NOT looking forward to the post-accident interview with the manager. I see a 2-day unpaid suspension (at least)plus maybe (unpaid) retraining for the driver. Miserable. Those things are bears to manage on slick surfaces.
