Renovation Permit Issued For Former KFC

We noticed that a renovation permit was issued for 4150 N. Broadway on December 7. The property is also showing as "off the market." Rumors were circulating that 7-Eleven was planning to move into the space from their location across the street. Could that be the new tenant for this long-shuttered former KFC?

And while we are on the topic of chicken, it looks like plans to open a "Krispy Krunchy Chicken" at Broadway and Clifton have now turned into another chicken chain. You can look forward to "Chester's" opening soon in that same space at 4662 N. Broadway.

  1. Whats with the Broadway/Clifton owner's obsession with trying to open up franchises of chains mostly seen in gas stations and truck stops?

  2. Probably not an obsession with chicken chains as much as a desire to start getting rent checks from retail spaces that have been unoccupied for years now. Can you blame him/her?

  3. Is this location still Uptown? I know its a frequent location for vagrants that hang around all day.

  5. Does anybody know what is going on at the old Pollo Loco kiddy corner from McDonald's? I've see a lot of workers going in and out.
