First Glimpse At JDL's Maryville Plan

You're getting a first glimpse at JDL Development's plans for the Maryville site. Kevin Dickert at Curbed Chicago has a full rundown of the building's updated specs. Interesting to note that the number of affordable housing units has dropped from 20% to around 5% requiring JDL to pay into the city's affordable housing fund. The parking podium has also been reduced in size.

  1. Awesome.. as long as they are returning the building on the northeast corner back to the Park District and redoing the Field House, this looks like a phenomenal development...

  3. As one of SEVERAL concerned Uptown residents, I cringe at the thought of more public housing or social services in our over-saturated neighborhood, but 5% is better than 20%. And the building rendering looks great!

  5. I agree with the other comments. There is MORE than enough "affordable housing" in our neighborhood. Let's let these people build an amazing, upscale building!! It can only help our property values!!

  6. Couldn't we use just a splash of luxury in Uptown? It's part of our diversity.
