Cheer The Breast Cancer Walkers On

On Saturday, the American Cancer Society will sponsor "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" at Montrose Harbor with a 5K walk.  As Edgeville Buzz puts it,

This weekend thousands of Chicago residents will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer^® 5K fundraising walk, and they could use your support.  Dust off that pink sweatshirt, fire up your cheering voice and come down to the lake front Saturday morning to support the walkers on their crusade to change the course of breast cancer forever.

Registration opens at 8:30am and the walk begins at 10am.  There's an Opening Ceremony at 9am, where survivors will be recognized.  There'll be health activities, a kids tent with crafts and games, Zumba and yoga, and live music.  You can see the route and the schedule here.
