Woman Shot In Arm on 900 Block Of Wilson

A few readers wrote in about hearing 7-10 shots last night at 2:30am, in the area of Broncho Billy Playlot, and about four shots at 8:30am around Sheridan and Wilson.

It seems the morning shots found a victim:  According to the Sun-Times, an 18-year-old woman was struck in the arm on the 900 block of Wilson and drove herself to the hospital. 

The Sun-Times article mentions the police were notified of a gunshot wound at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.  We don't know if the woman drove herself to Weiss Hospital, just a block away from where she was shot, and was later transported to Evanston, or if she drove herself to Evanston.

In any case, we hope for her full recovery.  Please call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious, as there are usually retaliation issues if this was, indeed, a gang shooting (and there is no indication in the Sun-Times that it was).  Just be cautious.
