Two New Uptown Restaurants Get Happy Reviews

So glad to hear good things about Razon and Pecking Order:
  • Chicagoist visited Razon (4250 N Marine) and said: "In what the owner has dubbed a “casual-to-upscale” space, Razón welcomes diners to this windy corner of Buena Park where they’re serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for both café goers and sit-down diners." Read the rest of the review here. [Link correct now -- thanks for letting us know it was bad.]
  • Steve Dolinsky of ABC7 tried out Pecking Order (4416 N Clark):  "There's a wave of chicken-focused restaurants on its way to Chicago, and while there are no shortage of fried chicken joints, the Hungry Hound says this new wave is emphasizing free-range birds, some with a few ethnic touches. The latest chicken shack is really an ode to a woman's Filipino heritage. Kristine Subido left her corporate job earlier this year at The W hotel on Lakeshore, investing her time and money into a neighborhood restaurant, hoping to lure guests with the promise of chicken three ways."
