Ouch. Someone's going to have an insurance headache. A reader says:
"I took the attached photo this morning on the way to work of a tree that fell on a car between Marine and Clarendon on Buena. A calm, almost windless night and a tree limb comes crashing down. Aaarrrggghhh."
If you are the owner of a car that was damaged and need any documentation for your insurance claim, write to

Unfortunately the city has not seen fit to maintain all the green they require. Many streets have lights blocked b/c of unmanaged trees.
ReplyDeleteIt would be wonderful to have the City invest in some good hardwoods which could live over 120 years rather than this junk - locust and the such - which they are now planting.
ReplyDeleteThe City does not regularly inspect trees. If you see a problem with a tree, call 311. (Not that this would have helped here.)
ReplyDeleteThat's my mom's car and her building across the street. She called me at 7:30am with the news. The tree was later removed. She has scratches & dents and is getting an estimate. Does anyone know if the city bears any liability for parkway tree damage? I would appreciate getting the picture.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sending me the picture. My mom's car is in the shop for bodywork now.
