Open Air Cinema Starts To Roll

Uptown area outdoor cinema is alive and well!  There are some good Movies In The Park coming up in the next couple weeks.  Bring a blanket and snacks and come to the parks at dusk for a free movie with a few hundred of your closest friends:
  • Tuesday, August 14th:  Come see Zookeeper at Gill Park, 825 West Sheridan.  It begins at dusk.
  • Ald. Osterman's latest newsletter mentions a Picnic, Entertainment and a Movie on Friday, August 17th.  "It's sure to be a lively night at Buttercup Park [4901 N Sheridan]. Kicking off the evening with a Picnic at Buttercup Park at 6pm - be sure to wear your Summer Whites! Then beginning at 6:45, Connect Force from Alternatives will be doing a dance performance with interactive opportunities. Then at dusk, the Chicago Filmmakers will present a film titled The Whale. Be sure to stop by for a great, culture-filled evening!"
  • Wednesday, August 22:  Ald. Cappleman's office presents Hugo at Cricket Hill, located just inside Lincoln Park, just north of the Montrose entrance.  The movie begins at dusk.
  • Friday, August 24:  Come see Super 8 at Clarendon Park, 4501 N Clarendon.  It begins at dusk.
