Art Supplies Requested

The Friends of the 46th Ward Schools would like to ask for the community's support in helping Stockton Elementary stock their art classroom with supplies. Donations can be made through Donor’s Choose with via the following link.  This project only has 4 more days (until August 19th) to become fully funded.

92.6% of the students enrolled at Stockton Elementary live below the poverty line so for many of them, school is the only opportunity they have to access the arts. Please help these children experience the joy and beauty of creating art as part of their education. Thank you in advance for your help.

  1. Is there a place to drop off supplies? I have a bunch of "kid safe" materials that are doing nothing.

  2. I have tried twice to donate via the link. But when I enter an amount, the page comes up that it is unavailable... any suggestions?

  3. I also had a problem donating. I got as far as confirming my payment when I received an error message. It seems like it's a problem with Donors Choose so hopefully they're on top of fixing it. I wonder if they're overloaded with back to school projects.

  4. I received an error message at the site upon first try, but tried again and was successful. Don't give up.

  5. We're not sure what's wrong with the donation page, but please check back to see if it's working later. And thanks to those were able to donate already - we're halfway there!

Mr. Littleton, we'd love any donations of kid-friendly art supplies. They can be dropped off at Alderman Cappleman's office (with the school supplies).
