4645 N Broadway Gets Facelift

Looks like 4645 N Broadway is getting a bit of TLC from its new owners. You might remember this building as the site of the infamous standoff with police last December. It was also a Vice-Lords gang hotspot as well as the former home of "Da Spot" clothing store. We applaud anything that can potentially improve this retail corridor.

  1. baby steps...this is a nice old building a putting love into these is soooo key to preventing more of the strip malls, cash for golds and subways that blight this street. nice.

  2. Subway may not be blight but storefronts like Subway's are generic and detract from the character and history of buildings like this. Of course I'd still rather have that than a Cash-4-Gold or other rundown clothing store.

  3. Subway is just Blah though.

NICE to see this, this stretch of Broadway is long overdue for a renaissance. :)

  4. This is not 4639, it is 4645 N Broadway. 4639 is a few doors down. No new ownership of this building that I am aware of, but looks like the retail tenant on the ground floor is finally making improvements, thankfully.
