Bike-Themed Video Contest

There are lots of creative types in Uptown, so take a look:

CITY OF CHICAGO SPONSORS BICYCLE-THEMED VIDEO CONTEST

In celebration of Bike Chicago 2012 and Bike To Work Week, The City of Chicago is hosting a public service announcement (PSA) video contest to spread the message that bicycling is a fun, healthy and environmentally-friendly form of transportation.

This contest is free to enter and open to everyone. Videos will be judged on creativity, cohesion with the Bike it Everywhere, Chicago! theme, quality of the production and overall impression.

PSA themes can include but are not limited to safety, shop by bike, exploring neighborhoods, women and children, environmental impact, teens and bikes, racing, advocacy, and infrastructure.

Finalists will be screened before Pee-Wee's Big Adventure at Millennium Park on Tuesday, June 12 and winners will be announced at the City of Chicago's Bike Rally at Daley Plaza on Friday, June 15.

Submission Deadline: Sunday, May 20, 2012.  Bike-related prizes will be awarded as well including:

• Pair of Four-Star Bike Tour registrations courtesy of Active Transportation Alliance
• Trek Earl bicycle courtesy of Goose Island Beer Company
• Pair of Bicycle Film Festival Chicago passes
• The Chainlink shirt and more!
