The Liberty University Wind Ensemble will be performing at Uptown Baptist Church (UBC) on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 PM. The Liberty University Wind Ensemble has toured throughout the Eastern United States, from Vermont to Miami, and from St. Louis to New Orleans. The ensemble is comprised of approximately 57 college students studying a variety of majors at Liberty University.
This concert will be a benefit for UBC’s Project Elevate. A love offering will be taken at the end of the evening. The church is located at 1011 West Wilson. Free parking is available at Stewart Elementary School, located south of Wilson on Kenmore Ave.
I'll take a pass on this one. Never did like Jerry Falwell and the only thing good about Liberty Univ. is that's he's dead.

ReplyDeleteA "love offering" is when the offering plates are passed among the congregation, and rather than being kept to apply to church expenses, the money is given to the performer/speaker.
