A reminder that there are two meetings this week to find out what's going on in your community and/or shape what happens:
- Wednesday, the 46th Ward Town Hall meeting will focus on transportation -- everything from information about the Wilson station to making the ward more bike- and pedestrian-friendly. It's at Truman College, in the cafeteria, 6pm-8pm.
- Thursday, the 48th Ward will have its first meeting about its Master Plan, which will put into place plans on 11 topics: Arts & Culture | Community Engagement | Economic Development | Education | Environmental & Health | Housing | Public Safety | Social Services | Sheridan Rd. & Lakefront | Social Services | Transportation | Youth & Recreation. You can help guide the 48th Ward to achieve its goals. The meeting will be at Senn High School, 5900 N Glenwood, at 7pm.
Uptown is finally getting the transparency and community participation we have asked for for so long. It's an exciting time. Be part of it.
