Happy New Year

A reader, "Scott in Uptown," took this beautiful photo of the Chicago Skyline from Montrose Harbor.  All of us at Uptown Update would like to wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve, and a spectacular 2012.

  1. Happy New Year!

    PS

The first story about Uptown in this new year involved two females attacking an off duty cop with a hammer on the 4400 block of Broadway. Probably outside the Target.

They are unworthy of a hyperlink.

Not a hopeful start to the new year. On the other hand there was no gunfire!

    Happy New Year!

  3. That view of the skyline from Montrose point is the best in the city in my opinion. The view at night with those fog layers is surreal, and appears to be from offshore and approaching by sea....

For 2012 I want to put more Uptown in my art....as a subject or story.

Night-time noir scenes are a challenge, start with black? This same scene or viewpoint changes constantly night and day, The light and water and atmospheric effects, worth a revisiting year-round.

Here is a link to the same view that was posted in a window on Sheridan during the election last year...time to revisit the scene?

    !!Happy New Year Happy Neighbors!!
