Circus In The Parks Returns To Uptown

"Circus in the Parks is returning to Chase Park on October 22nd and 23rd for another year of fun and magic! Please save the date and join us for this wonderful event featuring acrobats, aerialist, clowns, contortionists, and a dog from the Midnight Circus. As always, proceeds will benefit Chase and other parks in Chicago."

There will be two two-hour shows with a fifteen minute intermission each day.  Shows are at 2pm and 5pm on Saturday and 1pm and 4pm on Sunday.  You can buy tickets online here.  Tickets are $15 each.

But wait!  There's more!  The Urban Green Space blog will be giving away a pair of tickets to one of the shows, either at Chase Park or at Commercial Park.  You need to enter by October 9th.  Check it all out here.

Want to know what's amazing about Circus In The Parks, besides the talent? Last year there were 20 performances in five parks. 6000 people saw the show. The five parks raised $60,000 between them for park improvements. It's grass roots fundraising, and the results are playground and building improvements above and beyond what cash-strapped Chicago can give them. A very worthy cause, indeed.
