Effective: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - Tuesday, November 01, 2011

Westbound Wilson at Broadway will be closed to all bus traffic due to a Street Infrastructure Issue (partial street collapse).  The following reroute will be in effect (North Bound Only):
  • Operate regular route to Wilson/Sheridan, (turn left)
  • South on Sheridan to Montrose, (turn right)
  • West on Montrose to Broadway, (turn right)
  • North on Broadway to Wilson, (turn left)
  • West on Wilson over the regular route.

  1. This thing is scary. I almost rode my bike into it the day it opened up last week before they put the cones up.

  2. Go figure.

Curious thing about infrastructure, after a few decades, it will remind you the folly of neglecting it.

  3. There are some pretty bad washout situations at this corner. The problem is likely widespread. I just hope the whole think does not collapse like it did over in Ravenswood a few years back.

The City's infrastructure is in bad shape. The water lines around here are one hundred years old. I am glad the mayor is taking steps to fix the problem.

SIGH. I always liked Mayor Daley but his mismanagement of the the city is coming home to roost. No wonder he retired. He always put lipstick on a pig.

Mayor Rahm is really doing a good job so far.
