Free Job Training For Uptown Residents

“I was hope that Uptown Update could publish something about this training and employment program that Asian Human Services is making available to Uptown Residents?

Energy Auditor Training with Nationally Recognized BPI Certification. AHS Employment Department is partnering with Priority Energy to offer Training for Tomorrow, a new employment program for unemployed or underemployed residents of Uptown, Rogers Park, Albany Park, Logan Square and Humboldt Park.

Students receive classroom and hands-on worksite training to become certified Energy Auditors. Building Performance Institute certification is included in the training, which is free of charge. Students are recommended but not required to have a background in the trades, construction, or other technical field, or with a knowledge of building science. Classes and certifications are held year-round.
