Join Your Neighbors In Positive Loitering, 7pm-8pm

Two locations again tonight.

from the Uptown Chicago Commission:

Please join your neighbors for an hour of Positive Loitering this evening from 7-8 PM.  We will meet at the corner of Leland and Sheridan, and decide where to go from there. Bring a friend, bring a neighbor, but just come out!  If you want to bring the pooch along, the Dog Treat Dude tells us he just got a new supply of treats from Soggy Paws (thank you, Soggy Paws!)

The event is being sponsored by the Uptown Chicago Commission and all are welcome to attend. As always, the watch commander and the 23rd District Commander are aware of our efforts and encourage our efforts to take back our streets for law-abiding citizens.

from Clarendon Park Neighborhood Association:

Please join your neighbors tonight for an hour of Positive Loitering at 7pm.  Groups are planning to meet at Hazel and Wilson as well as the longstanding group at Sheridan and Leland. Amy, the Beat Facilitator for the Clarendon Park neighborhood CAPS, is not able to be at the Hazel and Wilson meetup tonight, but she is hoping that you will rise to the occasion! The police officers that work in our neighborhood know that the group will be meeting tonight.

Remember - Positive Loitering is a non-confrontational opportunity for neighbors to stand together for safety. You get a chance to talk to your neighbors and work towards sharing information and ideas about keeping the neighborhood safe. Call 9-1-1 if you see suspicious activity and encourage your neighbors to do the same.
