Another Former Aldermanic Candidate Retires

Just a few days after it was announced that 46th Ward Streets & Sanitation and former Aldermanic candidate Don Nowotny retired, Crain's Chicago Business reports today that another former aldermanic candidate, Scott Baskin, has retired as CEO from Mark Shale.

According to Crain's, Scott says "he'll pursue civic and philanthropic interests." We wish the best to Scott, and hope that he plans to devote some of his time and energy helping some of Uptown's non-profits.

  1. That's interesting, as Baskin was the sole aldermanic candidate who said he would keep his job with Mark Shale while performing the aldermanic duties, if he had won.

Well, retirement is a good thing. I wish him well.
