Inquiring minds what to know why the "McJunkin" name at the top of the McJunkin building at Broadway and Wilson was covered up with the panel that is clearly visible above? Compare that to the view from over 50 years ago, below.
The panel hasn't been covered up, it has been removed. I would guess because of damage(cracks), and the pressure of each terracotta brick on the bottom of the cornice, inspectors probably told the owners to remove them for safety reasons before they fell to the street.
