Voting In The Aldermanic Run-Off Election (UPDATED)

Here's what we've been able to piece together from the Board of Elections website for the 46th Ward (and other) aldermanic run-off election:
  • Election Day is Tuesday, April 5th.  Polls are open 6am-7pm.
  • There is a small window open for registering to vote, between now and Friday, March 8.
  • Voting by mail:  You can cast an absentee ballot for the election, but there will be no polling places in the ward to vote early.  In an email from the Board of Elections this evening:  "There will be Early Voting conducted from March 14 through March 31."
  • There will be "in person" absentee voting downtown at the Board of Elections (69 W Washington) Friday through Monday, April 1st through April 4 (9am - 5pm every day except Sunday, when the polls will be open 9am - noon).

  1. I just love early voting.

In and out and no hassle.

Bring your voter ID card along and it's even easier.

Plus the people who work "early voting" seem to be more experienced than the people who work at average precinct on election day.
