Stuck In The Middle With You

The Tribune has a photo slide show from January 1967, when Chicago got its biggest snowfall, 23 inches in 35 hours.  Here's what northbound Lake Shore Drive looked like at the Foster off-ramp.  In a few days, we can compare and contrast.  The photos are fun; you can check them out here.

  2. The booze line at Jewel this morning was off the charts! Also, the meats were slim pickins. People are stocking up!

  3. They are handling it well! Out of bananas, but everything is moving and people are about their business.

  4. Hmmm...Does this mean there won't be any shootings or auto vandalisms in Uptown? At least through Wednesday?

  5. Lake Shore drive was headed in the same direction tonight. Buses and some cars stuck for a while in the north bound right hand lane where there was a lot of drifting. Took me 3 hours from Congress to Uptown. I highly recommend that you learn from my mistake. Stay off Lake Shore. Be safe.
