Anyone know why there are bright fluorescent yellow and orange trees in the lot next to Rainbo Village, just north of Lawrence on Clark? Part of the streetscaping?
The city was painting dying and/or invasive species of trees prior to removing them altogether. There were a bunch of painted ones along the rowing lagoon at Lincoln park earlier in the year.
It is art. They were first in Lincolnd park, then they were at the south end of the Cancer Survivors park. I have no idea what they are doing next to rainbow. The city painted the large trees in Lincoln park along the lagoon as "art" but those trees are slated to be removed soon. I think the reader did a story on it maybe?
I live at Rainbo Village and was surprised to see them suddenly appear one day. I've seen the ones by the lake, but have never seen them anywhere else in the city until now.
