Looks like the finishing touches are going up on the Clark Streetscaping, like this street marker at Leland just outside Chase Park. Looking very nice, in our opinion.
So nice to see the city fixing things that don't need fixing and it taking something like 7 months to do something that should have been done in half or less than half the time.
There is a hole in the street right around the corner from the new Leland entrance filling with garbage. Oh, and maybe the city has not noticed... ummm, some of the El stations are kinda falling apart. The city is so busy putting in new curbs and cross walks that are so not necessary! Next year all those new "red squares" that are screwed down are going to be popping up and tripping people just like the ones that were put in last year are doing now.
This city has no money to be spending on the silly things it is spending money on. Nor does the state or country.
Yeah, looks nice, but I'd rather my taxes were lower and we stayed with the old street that was already paid for!
ReplyDeleteWell i guess you wouldve probably been against the public works projects during the depression as well BCPR?. Bah humbug.
ReplyDeleteIf any stretch of clark needs help its this exact stretch.
This along with tne new Black Theatre will help alot.
Looks better, for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, this is a 'non-Helen' improvement.
Can't wait for Clam Chouder to get a gander at that!
ReplyDeleteIts nice....I likes it!
ReplyDeleteWill these signs be used on other streets? I like.
