State Budget Open House, August 28

Thursday evening was a town hall meeting on the state budget sponsored by Sen. Steans and Rep. Harris at St. Augustine College.  Did anyone go; got any feedback?

We got an email from James Cappleman this morning which included the news that there will be an additional open house next weekend at Truman College regarding the Illinois budget, so if you have concerns or comments, you can discuss it with your legislators next Saturday:

Last night, I, along with many others, attended a state budget update hosted by my friends State Representative Greg Harris and State Senator Heather Steans. They were honest and frank about where we stand as a state that is facing its worst budget crisis in its history. ... They are hosting open house hours to discuss the budget on Saturday, August 28 at Truman College (1145 W. Wilson) from 1PM to 5PM. Please stop by at your convenience during these open office hours.
