Having said that, we still had to laugh when a reader sent in these comments:
"It looks like the new Target store is already extending its helpful reach throughout the neighborhood, just as we had hoped. On a walk this evening, we spotted a bright and shiny new Target shopping cart that’s found a new home at the Sheffield House on Sheridan between Byron and Grace. Great to see that Target is benefitting the residents of the ol’ Sheffield House."
If you see a cart in good condition (and why shouldn't they be? they've only been here a week), be a good neighbor and give Target a call so they can go retrieve it. The number is (773) 596-2376.
I was surprised they did not implement any of the magnetic cart locks that you see at the Jewel or at other Target stores.

This annoys the heck out of me. Why do people think they can steal what and when they want? There exists very little common respect.
