Step By Step

Looks like the owners of Viet Bowl at 1122 W. Wilson are fed up with the loitering outside their business. This gas meter has been a very popular place for sitting hours on end for years. A new iron basket has been attached just above it so no one can loiter there. Progress.

  1. I am glad to see business owners take some actions to rid these low-lifes from hanging around their front doors. I am sure they will now gain more customers. I hope others in that area do the same.

  3. Where are the No Loitering signs too? I almost got a ticket in NYC for stopping and asking someone on the street for directions.

Maybe Chicago should open up the underground tunnels. Mole people are far more interesting than these people.

  4. Has anyone (the Chamber) considered a campaign to get ALL business owners to clearly post No Loitering signs in front of their businesses.

At first, this might seem uninviting, but I am honestly not sure the business corridor could be less safe and uninviting if we tried....

  5. That's awesome... and obviously the problem was pretty significant as you can see that so many people sat there over time that the paint was worn off the top of the gas meter.
