If you're a dog lover, "bark" your calendar now.
Dog Day On The Green, a fest to celebrate all things canine, takes place at Montrose Harbor on
August 29th, 10am-4pm. There'll be contests, exhibitions of doggie derring-do, entertainment, music, children's events, vendors, educational events, and photo ops.
You can still enter your dog in the competitive events, or join the American Cancer Society walkathon, "Bark For Life."

Needless to say, dogs are welcome, as long as they're up to date on their shots, on leashes, and play well with others.
