Things are improving rapidly on Clifton (between Wilson and Broadway). A reader sends us this photo showing new surveillance cameras, new signs against loitering, and even what appears to be some sort of white loudspeaker boxes. Not sure what the speaker's function is, but if it discourages rampant loitering, urination and drinking, it's a good thing.

Changing Times On Clifton
Things are improving rapidly on Clifton (between Wilson and Broadway). A reader sends us this photo showing new surveillance cameras, new signs against loitering, and even what appears to be some sort of white loudspeaker boxes. Not sure what the speaker's function is, but if it discourages rampant loitering, urination and drinking, it's a good thing.

The speakers with the cameras are probably like the ones in our condo I live. The security guard can see and tell property violators within his view to move on or whatever the case can be from these speakers. Its a good idea and lets hope it works to keep that street clean and safe.

ReplyDeleteKinda. It's more to do with Cornerstone realizing that Helen may not win next time and they realize they better start towing the line to keep in good graces with the next alderman. Helen didn't do a damn thing. Not before and not now.
ReplyDeleteI was noticing that Target has an office right at the corner there...I'm guessing for employee interviews or training? My money is on Target putting the pressure on.
