Tribune: "Lawsuit: Weiss Hospital Nurse Drugged, Assaulted Patient"

Yikes!  This is enough to make your blood run cold.  Two FYIs:  The nurse is not an Uptown resident, and nothing's been proven.


"A woman admitted to a Chicago hospital for chest pains became the victim of sexual abuse after a nurse injected her with morphine and assaulted her in a secluded room, a lawsuit filed today says.  The 59-year-old woman filed the lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against Weiss Memorial Hospital for negligent hiring and her alleged abuser James Whittington for battery."  Read the entire story here.
