Bus Shelter Removed At Broadway & Wilson

The bus shelter on the southwest corner of Broadway and Wilson (on Wilson) has been removed. We have no idea whether this is due to the Broadway streetscape or something more permanent. This shelter was often used more by loiterers than actual CTA patrons, so hopefully this reduces the rampant loitering on this corner.

  1. The bus stop sign itself is also gone. Yesterday, the bus stopped under the El tracks, though I don't know if this is the "new" location or not since there's no sign whatsoever.

  2. When I seen that the bus stop along with the seating were gone I was pissed!!! Why? Because I work hard all day long and when I need to wait for the bus on Wilson and Broadway, I would really like to sit down for a while.....I don't give a rats ass about the street people. When I get off work I'm tired and crabby,IF they're on the bench DO YOU THINK I STAND UP? I don't think so. I just tell them to move I need to sit down, I'm waiting for the bus,I mean what can they say? They don't have a choice...As a tax paying citizen I don't think it's fair that I have to stand up and wait for the bus because of them. So while they're making Wilson so beautiful, please don't forget to put the bus shelter along with the bench back in it's proper place.
