A reader sends in this video and writes:
"Lots of stuff going on here. Dope prices being yelled out. Dealers thinking I was the police, and once they saw my camera, they started sending signals to their corner boys to walk around the block. This is broad daylight, in the middle of the week, and only .3 miles from Shiller's office."
to the videographer, thank you for doing that.
ReplyDeleteShiller does not care. Period. And the saddest part of making Uptown her dumping ground is that her poorest constituents are the victims because they can't leave.
ReplyDeletePeople are pretty much used to this.
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm guessing the Mooshisloose is "Moosh" the number one supporter of Michael Carroll.
ReplyDeleteI figured Mooshie was a guy. From the sound of the voice I guess I was wrong. Twang and all certainly a female.
Picked up and dropped off at both ends of "Blood Alley".
I wonder, wonder, wonder who was the driver?
This election is going to be so much fun to watch.
Here is the last comment Moosh made on this blog:

How about looking at electing Michael Carroll who is running for Alderman of the 46th ward. Michael is currently on the Chicago police force. I'm sure if he hits the Alderman seat, the police presence in the neighborhood will there.
Alderman Shiller doesn't care about some beer drinking thief. Shoot. She doesn't even care about the homeless people that LIVE right behind her disgustingly dirty office.
Electing people with no police background or pull in the area of crimes like this, will NEVER be able to control the stuff that's going on in Uptown.
Remeber this post when you go to vote. SHILLER OUT. CARROLL IN.
:0)
Now back to sarcastic IrishPirate commentary.
Satan in 2011!
The Revolution May not be televised, but it will be vimeoed!
Hookers to the left of me, dealers to the right, into Bloody Alley Mooshie Did Saunter.........
ARRRRRRGH
dearest irish pirate,
ReplyDeletei got dropped off and picked up by my husband. and carroll isn't my husband. i'm old enough to be his mother.
and you know what? you're right! i am a carroll supporter. what's wrong with that? i believe this guy has what it takes to turn this mess completely around.
and just so you know... i'm doing my leg work with all of the candidates. that's right. ALL of them.
hey, have you ever ventured out from behind your computer screen and sat down with alderman shiller eye to eye while she spits lies in to your face? i have. have you ever sat down with any of the candidates and asked them questions about their strategies? i have.
so please, keep those fingers limber. you're going to have a lot of copying and pasting to do very soon.
you're stuck in the middle with me dear mr. pirate. so buckle up and enjoy the ride. ;)
moosh moosh and awayyyyyyy!
Mooshie,
ReplyDeleteI avoid sitting down with Alderman Shiller.
My blood pressure rises and my PTSD reasserts itself anytime I'm near her. Thank God for self medication and Guinness.
I thought my head was going to explode at the Shiller/Cappleman debate.
As for the coming campaign and my copying and pasting of your comments my Dear Mooshetta my mind turns to William Tecumseh Sherman:
“Grant stood by me when I was crazy, and I stood by him when he was drunk, and now we stand by each other.”
William Tecumseh Sherman quote.
In the end, when the Uptown Apomattox is upon us in February or April of next year, I fully expect to stand near you as an alderman not named Shiller declares victory in the 46th Ward.
That Alderman may be named Carroll. That Alderman may be named Cappleman. That Alderman may have another name. I don't have a crystal ball. Although, if the Alderman is named Farinas I will stop drinking and come to believe that the "end is nigh". I mean an Alan Keyes supporter...in Uptown..........
I do believe that the Alderman won't be named Shiller and that is a victory for one and all.
I just hope she runs because she can't hide.
Satan in 2011!
It'll be Heaven in 2011!
Great video. Thanks moosh.
ReplyDeleteWe should make a point of making random walks down Clifton. Everyone avoids it like the plague (for good reason), but if the usual suspects think no one is going to walk there, they are going to continue to use it as their playground for illegal activities.
ReplyDeleteAmazing that this crap is allowed just feet from Truman.
Next thing we know, Shiller will want to use WY TIF money to preserve the "diversity" of this street. Ugh...
The cameras that are above the recording studio are the source for those wonderful pee videos and other hijinks on the street. There is someone in that building 24/7 and with those cameras always recording you never know what you might get. Check out the you tube channel Uptownsmostwanted. All one word, it has everything they have posted. Some really strange stuff happens after the sun has gone down..
ReplyDeleteSo Candice's message, it seems, is that it's rude to videotape drug dealers.
ReplyDeleteVery classy.
miss kitty, any time you want to take a stroll down clifton with me, let me know. I'll be happy to film as much dope dealing as possible. only this time, i'll stick around a little longer. who knows, maybe i'll wheel over a desk and work from clifton street. is there any good wifi there?
ReplyDeletehow about getting local restaurants to do a taste of uptown ON Clifton street? Just schedule parades, and festivals down it. It is the perfect size for that actually.
Candilicious needs to consider the lessons of Shakespeare. Sonnet 29 in particular as performed by Canuck/American Rufus Wainwright.
ReplyDeleteWhen, in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possess'd,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
I'm not sure what Billy Shakes would say about blue hair though. I shall consult Macbeth and get back to you on that.
Michael Carroll has my vote and 50 others that live in our Condo at Montose and Clarendon. He is the man that can make a difference we all want in our Uptown.....
